Job summary

The Salvation Army Fort Wayne Corps is seeking a Community Center Coordinator in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role provides leadership for managing all aspects of the corps community center ministries and coordinates activities, facility space, and the community center schedule to support mission-driven programs.

You will engage in community relations, marketing, and department resource/budget management, while ensuring compliance with organization policies and risk management.

Qualifications

• Background checks required.
• Experience in office and administration preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days; CPR and first aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the Community Center.
• Coordinate with program directors and community partners to ensure program success.
• Communicate needs and successes to schools, service clubs, and media.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Evaluate programs for demographics, interests, and needs; support growth and sustainability.
• Develop and implement promotional plans to maximize participation.
• Coordinate scheduling and facility usage for all programs.
