Job summary

The City of Riverside (MO) seeks a Community Center Manager to lead daily operations, develop engaging programs, oversee rentals and classes, and manage staff. This role requires coordinating budgets, ensuring policy compliance, and cultivating partnerships with schools and community groups to maximize facility use.

Responsibilities include supervising instructors, maintaining records, and delivering high-quality customer service while promoting safe and welcoming community spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, Leisure Services or related field required.
• 1-3 years of increasingly responsible experience required.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification with the National/Missouri Recreation and Park Association preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must complete FEMA NIMS IC 100, 200, 700, 800 within 1 year of hire.
• Must complete basic first aid, AED, and CPR within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, promote and supervise year-round activities for youth and adults, including instructional programs, special events, camps and other leisure or lifestyle programs.
• Develop program schedules and plans, allocate equipment and space for activities.
• Supervise staff and instructors; maintain payroll records and schedules.
• Oversee rentals, registrations and class activities; ensure policies followed and records maintained.
• Prepare and review budgets; monitor revenues and expenditures; ensure fiscal control.
• Coordinate with other divisions and community groups for joint use and agreements.
• Develop and implement safety, risk management and facility regulations.
