Job summary

Myers-Davis Life Coaching Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional to participate in Community Based Services aligned with the Waiver program. Reporting to the Direct Care Supervisor and Waiver Services Director, you will work as part of a team to support individuals toward independence and safety.

This full-time role follows a Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am-9:00pm schedule and requires compassionate, patient care and adherence to the company’s mission and philosophy.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid state license or ID.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Should exhibit patience, kindness, and understanding.
• Adheres to Myers-Davis’ mission vision and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices
• Must be comfortable with animals
