Job summary

The Outreach Team is hiring canvassers in Lansing, MI to support reproductive freedom advocacy. You will engage with the public, deliver campaign messages, and gather voter survey data. Roles include leadership responsibilities and training opportunities, with shift scheduling across days and evenings.

Starting pay is $22 per hour for canvassers and $24 per hour for team leads, with overtime, bonuses for referrals, paid training, and sick pay. Spanish speakers may earn an additional $2 per hour.

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders Hiring Immediately; $22–24/hr + bonuses Full-time & Part-time

Join the fight for reproductive freedom in your community! We’re partnering with Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) and their partners who are working every day to fight for reproductive freedom and debunk disinformation. Our campaign will be going door to door to educate voters on the state of reproductive rights in Arizona.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $22/hour. Team Lead positions start at $24/hour. We offer overtime pay, shift bonuses, paid training (at $20/hour), sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. If you are a fluent Spanish speaker, you may earn an additional $2 per hour.

Locations:Lansing, MI

We are hiring immediately. All positions run through September, and are incredibly likely to extend through Election Day on November 3rd. Shifts run from 12:45 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about reprodutive justiceand fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.
