Job summary

The Community & Business Banker at First Interstate Bank in Lincoln, NE delivers personalized client service by assessing needs and offering appropriate financial solutions. You will engage with clients in person and by phone, open accounts, process loan requests, and identify referral opportunities to Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years banking or related experience required.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator per the SAFE Act within 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized client service in person and by phone, answering questions and offering solutions.
• Opens and maintains consumer and business accounts, IRAs, CDs, cards, and facilitates loans.
• Processes loan requests and identifies referral opportunities to Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Business Banking, and Wealth Management.
• Maintains client relationships and documents referrals using 360 View.
• Builds relationships through outbound engagement and proactive client outreach.
• Performs Teller duties and accurate currency handling as needed.
