Job summary

Cascade Living Group in Washington state is seeking a Community Driver for Alpine Way to transport residents to appointments, stores, scenic drives and social events, while ensuring comfort and safety during every ride.

You’ll perform routine vehicle checks, build trusting relationships with residents and families, and work weekends or holidays as needed. CDL may be required for large buses, and a Food Workers Card is requested. We offer competitive wages and benefits.

As aCommunity Driver with Alpine Way, as part of the Life Enrichment Department you’re responsible for transporting our residents to a variety of locations and ensuring that their ride with you is as comfortable as possible.

What we look for in a Community Driver:

• If operating a large bus of sixteen or more passengers, must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL)

• Previous experience working with seniors preferred

• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time

• Compassionate individuals with a positive attitude, willing to offer physical assistance as needed

• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families

• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

What you can expect to do as a Community Driver:

• Transport residents to and from various locations, i.e., medical appointments, stores, banks, scenic drives and social events

• Perform or assist in routine preventive maintenance procedures on the vehicle as recommended by the manufacturer

• Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff Inform the Life

• Is subject to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts

Position Requirements:

$17.50 - $19.50/hour
*Depending on Experience
