Job summary

Vaco seeks an experienced professional to support community-based organizations in building capacity for benefits navigation, enrollment, and service integration under the 1115 Waiver. The role focuses on translating complex policy changes into practical guidance for frontline teams in New York.

You will lead training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring seamless integration of navigation activities into current case management tools and referral platforms for improved health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social work, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 2+ years.
• Experience with Medicaid and/or SNAP enrollment, recertification, or CAC workflows.
• Ability to develop and deliver hands-on, train-the-trainer curricula and coaching to CBOs and frontline staff.
• Ability to translate complex policy changes into actionable guidance for frontline implementation.
• Experience integrating benefits navigation into case management systems, referral platforms, and program workflows.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse partners including CBOs, government agencies, and healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with health equity principles, SDOH, NYC social care landscape, and 1115 Waiver.
• Strong organizational and facilitation skills to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of CBOs in benefits navigation and service integration under the 1115 Waiver.
• Provide training and technical assistance to frontline staff and partner organizations.
• Translate policy changes into clear guidance for frontline teams.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate navigation into existing workflows and systems.
