Job summary

Brightli is seeking a part-time Vocational Support Specialist in Farmington, MO. You will provide individualized training and support to individuals with disabilities to build life and workplace skills and empower them toward meaningful employment.

You will collaborate with employers and community partners, deliver onsite and community-based services, and help clients navigate career planning, job readiness, and retention with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in rehabilitation, employment services, or related field preferred.
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and facilitate vocational, pre-vocational, social, and independent living skills.
• Support individuals through career exploration, employment prep, job placement, and retention.
• Provide onsite and offsite job coaching to learn duties and develop workplace relationships.
• Develop individualized service plans, lessons, and activities aligned with client goals.
• Coordinate work-based learning experiences, onboarding activities, timesheets, and documentation.
• Transport clients to participate in services and meet goals.
• Establish community-based training and employment sites for skill development.
• Educate employers on benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and assist with accommodations.
• Act as liaison among clients, employers, referral sources, families, and schools.
• Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and complete reports on time.
• Respond to crises while ensuring client safety and continuity of services.
• Promote organizational services through community engagement and networking.
