Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Ohio seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support individuals with substance use disorders in home and community settings. The role includes assessments, treatment placement, and resource coordination to promote recovery.

The salary range is $19.25-$27.08 per hour based on experience and licensure, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K match, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Must have SUD psychotherapy license issued by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years related field experience.
• Strong communication and cultural awareness.
• Experience with multi-need individuals and families.
• Willing to participate in cross-systems teamwork.
• Able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess the strengths and needs of those seeking support for substance use disorder.
• Perform level of care assessments for treatment placement.
• Coordinate resources and services for individuals served.
• Carry out group and individual SUD psychotherapy.
• Perform routine and timely outreach to referrals and those who experience a lapse in treatment.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client contact and related activities.
• Attend team meetings, collaborate with community partners, participate in related programs to support individuals served.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with behavioral medicine and other teams within ISBH.
• Meets billing productivity requirements established by Integrated Services for Behavioral Health.
• Build relationships and network with partners to build substance use program, expand referral base and strengthen community relationships
• Other duties as assigned.
