Job summary

Clarvida seeks a Substance Abuse Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in Louisiana. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, coordinate care, and connect clients with community resources, delivering services directly in the community to support stability and recovery.

The role requires active Louisiana licensure (LPC/LCSW/LPC-S/LAC/LMSW/PLPC), CIT certification, and at least two years' experience with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana licensure in LPC, LCSW, LPC-S, LAC/LAC-S, LMSW or PLPC.
• CIT certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with adults with serious mental illness.
• Experience with substance use disorders preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use assessments and evaluations.
• Deliver individual and family counseling services.
• Provide case management aligned with treatment plans.
• Support clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Link clients to appropriate community-based resources and supports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ACT team members.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule (1 week every 6–8 weeks).
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
