Merakey is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist in Lafayette, LA to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. You will provide individual therapy, facilitate groups, and develop person-centered treatment plans while maintaining timely clinical documentation.

The ideal candidate uses Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction approaches, holds a Louisiana licensure or eligibility (LAC/CAC/PLPC/LMSW or CIT), and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other human service related field.
• LAC, CAC, PLPC, LMSW or Counselor In Training (CIT) licensure/eligibility is required.
• Knowledge of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual substance abuse therapy and facilitate substance use disorder groups.
• Create the person-centered treatment plan and review/adjust crisis plans as needed.
• Complete annual substance use assessments and maintain thorough clinical documentation.
