Preferred Behavioral Health Group in Warren, NJ, is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to help individuals facing substance use disorders. This community-based role relies on lived experience to offer encouragement, linkage to services, and advocacy for recovery goals.

You will build trust with families, develop Recovery Plans, and coordinate with diverse stakeholders to connect clients to housing, transportation, and support networks. Strong communication and empathy are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Communication skills: written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of addictions preferred.
• At least 2 continuous years of sustained recovery.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

• Reinforces and guides families that recovery is possible using strengths and resources.
• Assists parents/caregivers with gaining skills and resources needed to initiate and maintain recovery.
• Assists in establishing and sustaining a social and physical environment supportive of recovery.
• Enhances identification and participation in the recovery community.
• Empowers parents/caregivers to make self-determined and self-directed choices about their recovery pathway.
