The Jewish Family & Children's Service, Greater Boston is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and neurodivergent clients in the CHAI Employment Services program.

You will work one-on-one to explore interests, identify strengths, and develop tailored employment goals, delivering guidance, coaching, and job coaching across the Greater Boston area including the Waltham office and virtually.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Teaching, Business or related field, required.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related conditions preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Perform job development and placement for assigned clients.
• Research employers and develop opportunities for employment.
• Create individualized employment plans and prepare resumes/cover letters.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and support to clients and supervisors.
• Collaborate with families, DDS and other providers; document services per funder rules.
