Job summary

The Arc Prince George’s County is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in independent, community-based job settings. You will provide job training aligned with needs and employer requirements, while maintaining employer relationships across diverse industries.

You will teach job-search skills, help with resumes, interviews, and follow-up, and coordinate with employers to place individuals in suitable roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred with two years' experience in community-based job placement or related field.
• Ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including emergencies.
• Must drive a personal vehicle and hold a valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Teach job-seeking, resume, interview, retention, and workplace skills.
• Provide direct support monthly and conduct skill assessments with community-based trials.
• Maintain accurate employment records in the EHR and ensure PCP plans are implemented.
• Lead career planning and arrange time-limited work experiences with employers.
• Develop employment opportunities and participate in job fairs and outreach to employers.
