Job summary

Center for Human Services in Kirksville, MO is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide person-centered employment supports to individuals with disabilities. You will manage a caseload of 10–15 people, align services with each plan, and collaborate with the Professional Manager to ensure funding requirements are met.

The role involves facilitating new job placements, maintaining accurate documentation in SetWorks, and participating in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience in a support, coaching, education, or service coordination role and/or a combination to equal four years.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or guiding others toward goals.
• Familiarity with funding systems (VR, DMH) is strongly preferred.
• Must possess or obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within the first 30 days of hire.
• ACRE or CESP certification after the first year of position.
• Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
• Reliable communication access.
• Complete required trainings, including CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver individualized supports for a caseload of approximately 10–15 individuals.
• Facilitate job placements and assist during initial days at the worksite.
• Complete monthly service reports and documentation in SetWorks per CHS/VR/DMH standards.
• Engage in team collaboration, attend meetings, and support job coaches.
• Maintain professional written and verbal communication with the PM on all service-related correspondence.
