Job summary

Eleos Family Services in New Jersey seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time, part-time, or contract roles. You will provide person-centered support to adults with IDD, helping with daily living, community integration, and social engagement in safe, supportive environments.

Qualifications

• Age: 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Driving: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean driving record (no more than 5 points), and a willingness to travel (~80% local travel).
• Compliance: Willingness to complete required state (DDD) and Eleos training, and cooperate fully with standard program inspections.

Responsibilities

• Community & Outings: Go to events, take a class together, or explore local spots while building social and independence skills.
• Life Coaching: Assist with daily life skills like basic cooking, budgeting for purchases, laundry, and everyday etiquette.
• Workplace & Study Support: Provide 1‑on‑1 tutoring and help individuals succeed on the job site with basic self‑care and social skills.
• Goal Tracking: Follow individualized service and behavior support plans to help individuals gain independence and boost confidence.
