Job summary

King County's Public Health Seattle & King County seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to join the Community Based Oral Health Program at Eastgate Public Health Center in Bellevue. You will work 9 months in schools and 3 months in the float pool across King County clinics, traveling as needed to support multiple sites and populations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Dental Assistant course program or equivalent experience.
• Current registration as a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Washington.
• Current/valid BLS/CPR for health care providers.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English desired.
• Working knowledge of dental radiograph techniques and principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as a chairside assistant for restorative, surgery, hygiene and other procedures.
• Take diagnostic quality intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs.
• Provide child prophyies and topical preventative agents.
• Maintain patient records and data entry per program policies.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and anticipatory guidance health behaviors.
• Assist dentists with emergency procedures.
• Maintain dental spaces and equipment per OSHA/WISHA.
• Coordinate scheduling and follow-up with community sites.
