Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
• Current Washington State Dental Assisting Registration required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; 3 years if no formal training.
• Must obtain and maintain BLS CPR within 90 days of hire.
• Annual TB testing and influenza vaccination are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide four-handed chairside dental assistance to providers across diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, perio, oral surgery and other services.
• Escort and assist patients, greet, seat and manage patient flow with courtesy and professionalism.
• Schedule appointments, process registrations in Dentrix and Allscripts PM.
• Complete charting in Dentrix using SOAP or PARTS formats with accuracy.
• Maintain sterilization methods and OSHA compliance across clinic areas.
• Coordinate and train new staff and integrate with regional dental leadership.
• Provide information on treatment plans and cost estimates to patients and insurance coordination.
