Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC) in Palmdale is hiring a Child and Family Specialist for the Full-Service Partnership (FSP) program. The role focuses on rehabilitation and case management for children, adolescents, and transitional age youth with serious mental health needs.

The position requires experience with emotionally disturbed youth, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within a family system. Salary is $24.50 per hour, with a 40-hour workweek and some evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and families.
• Ability to be respectful of all cultures and religious beliefs and work within a family system.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of staff, clients, and colleagues.
• Must have a good attendance record in addition to being punctual for work, meetings and appointments.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must have a clean, clear driving record.
• BA in human services or related field; BA may be waived with AA plus experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide rehabilitative services to selected clients within CFGC programs.
• Deliver services in home, school, or community settings as appropriate.
• Collaborate with CFGC and FSP treatment teams.
• Conduct outreach to potential FSP clients and engage families.
• Participate in treatment team meetings with clinicians and other professionals.
• Under clinician supervision, work with a caseload of children/adolescents and families.
• Document contacts and services (DMH/DCFS) and transport clients to activities as needed.
