Job summary

Devereux Pocono Center is seeking a Behavior Consultant to design and direct individualized behavioral intervention plans for children and adolescents, with CASSP-based approaches. The role focuses on community-based support across NEPA counties and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

As an Independent Contractor, you will provide services in the community with a flexible schedule and sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• Mental Health Master’s Degree with certification in ABA or other behavioral management.
• Other degree with 12 credits in behavior management AND 1 year experience providing clinically supervised treatment to children AND 1 year experience with behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in behavioral management protocols.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to design and direct the implementation of individualized behavior modification plans for children/adolescents and families.
• Identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques, and recommends least restrictive behavioral change methods.
• Develops treatment plans, services and short-term goals for identified child/adolescent.
• Provides assessments of the strengths and therapeutic needs of assigned children and their families.
• Attends Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings and contributes to planning.
• Gathers information on antecedents, behaviors, and consequences to adjust behavior plans as needed.
• Coordinates with other professionals and agencies to ensure continuity of care for child and family.
• Develops discharge planning criteria and collaborates with families on appropriate treatment modalities.
• Provides clinical services to child/adolescent and family and maintains records and documentation.

Education
