Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Relationship Manager for the Community Banking team. The role focuses on acquiring, retaining, and expanding loans, deposits, and treasury relationships while delivering exceptional customer service and a strong client experience.

You will manage portfolios, work with credit analysts, and collaborate across departments to generate referrals and growth opportunities. A background in B2B banking or consultative sales is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business or accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of financial or banking experience.
• Completion of formal Bank Credit Training program, preferred but not required.
• Prior B2B, small business banking, or consultative outside sales experience in financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for annual goals tied to loan and deposit volume, cross-sales, call planning/prospecting and fee income generation.
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships with businesses that generally have ≤$2M in revenue.
• Take ownership of credit sheet content and quality by working closely with credit analysts on their successful and timely completion.
• Execute exemplary portfolio management
• Work closely with internal partners to generate internal referrals as wells as developing an external network of centers of influence.
• Take part in bank events during and after hours.
• Responsible for understanding the impact of lending on the bank’s CRA goals.
