Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Community Banker at our Grand Island, NE branch to deliver personalized client service and build relationships with customers. You will help open accounts, explain products, and process loan requests while referring clients to other financial solutions.

The role focuses on understanding client needs, maintaining accuracy, and staying compliant with banking regulations as you support local community banking goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years banking or related experience required.
• Registered Mortgage Loan Originator per the SAFE Act within 30 Days required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized client service in person and over the phone.
• Opens and maintains a variety of products including checking, savings, CDs and credit cards.
• Holds financial conversations with clients to determine needs and provide solutions.
• Processes new consumer loan requests and small business loan requests.
• Identifies referral opportunities and documents activity in the CRM.
