Qualifications

• Two year degree or equivalent job experience.
• Minimum 1 year sales experience in a financial or retail environment.
• Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified.
• Successfully pass the Level I Business Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt, and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions should any problems arise.
• High degree of professionalism and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when needed.
• Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
• Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Support customer relationship development and transaction processing to assist the bank in meeting its sales and service goals.
• Accurately and efficiently execute the day‑to‑day transactional needs of the bank’s client base, including opening and processing all types of accounts (including deposit and loan products), check cashing, balancing cash drawer, performing settlement procedures, and processing withdrawals and deposits for both consumer and business customers within established guidelines and authority.
• Prospect and cross-sell bank products and services to existing and new customers using provided tools and tracking systems.
• Make qualified referrals to business partners in investments, mortgage, cash management, etc.
• Complete Home Equity application process with customers, communicate and follow up on requirements and complete closing.
• Achieve individual and team sales and service goals; participate in sales promotions.
• Use a needs-based consultative approach to recommend products or services to enhance customer relationships.
• Answer routine and complex questions concerning accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; troubleshoot issues and ensure resolution.
• Maintain product knowledge via trainings and complete required trainings within timeframes.
• Utilize self-service channels (ATM, Online Banking, Mobile Banking) and Salesforce for customer interactions and follow-up.
• Create and foster a respectful work environment in collaboration with Branch Manager.
• Represent Rockland Trust by establishing roots in the communities served.
• Adhere to policies while balancing customer relationships and risk to the Bank.
• Take on additional reporting duties as required.
