Rockland Trust is seeking a Banker to join our Retail Branch in Massachusetts. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert financial guidance to clients, helping them reach their goals and deepen relationships.

You’ll open accounts, process transactions, cross-sell bank products, and collaborate with partners to support the community. A positive, client‑focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent job experience required.
• Minimum 1 year sales experience in financial/retail environment.
• Must be or become Notary Public and NMLS certified.
• Pass Level I Business Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to operate office equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong sales orientation with ability to balance priorities and work in a team.
• Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions.
• Professionalism and tact in interactions.
• Ability to work within normal office requirements; standing and customer support.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible weeks including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support customer relationship development and transaction processing to meet sales and service goals.
• Open and process accounts, cash handling, balancing the cash drawer, settlements, and deposits for consumers and businesses.
• Cross-sell bank products to existing and new customers using current tools and tracking systems.
• Refer to business partners in investments, mortgage, cash management, etc.
• Complete Home Equity application process and follow up on requirements and closing.
• Achieve individual and team sales and service goals; participate in promotions.
• Use a needs-based approach to recommend products/services beneficial to the customer relationship.
• Answer routine and complex questions; troubleshoot and ensure resolution.
• Maintain product knowledge through trainings and onboarding.
• Demonstrate self-service channels (ATM, Online/Mobile Banking).
• Use Salesforce for customer interactions and follow-up.
• Foster a respectful work environment with Branch Manager; represent Rockland Trust in the community.
• Adhere to policies and balance customer relationships with risk of loss to the bank.
• Take on additional reporting duties as required.
