Job summary

William Douglas Management in Raleigh seeks a proactive Community Manager to cultivate strong relationships with Boards, homeowners, and vendors. Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of HOA or community association management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive, independent problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience reading financial statements and budgeting support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Board members, homeowners, vendors, and contractors.
  • Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of HOA communities.
  • Inspect common areas and amenities; identify maintenance, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Assist Boards with rule enforcement and homeowner communications.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors; follow up on service needs and projects.
  • Review financial statements, prepare budgets, and monitor finances.
  • Organize and lead Board meetings, annual meetings, elections, and events.
  • Prepare meeting materials, reports, and correspondence.
  • Attend occasional evening meetings in person or virtually.
  • Balance multiple priorities while delivering responsive service.

William Douglas Management is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, customer focused Community Manager to join our Raleigh office. This highly visible role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems proactively, and making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.Position SummaryAs a Community Manager, you will work closely with Boards of Directors across a portfolio of communities. You will be responsible for managing your assigned communities independently, staying organized, following through on commitments, and ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident in their management team. This position reports to the Regional Manager.What You’ll DoResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Board members, homeowners, vendors, and contractors.Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of homeowner associations.Conduct regular inspections of common areas and amenities; identify maintenance, compliance, and operational needs.Assist Boards with rule enforcement and communication with homeowners.Coordinate community vendors and contractors, including follow-up on service needs and projects.Help Boards review financial statements, prepare budgets, and monitor community finances.Organize, prepare for, and lead Board meetings, annual meetings, elections, and other community events.Prepare meeting materials, reports, correspondence, and other administrative documentation.Attend occasional evening meetings, both in person and virtually.Balance multiple priorities while providing responsive, high-quality customer service.What We’re Looking ForCandidates with extensive, client-facing customer-service experience such as hospitality, restaurant, call center, retail, or similar environments are strongly encouraged to apply.1 – 3 years of HOA or community association management experience is preferred but not required.A proactive, adaptable and independent approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple communities, projects, and deadlines.Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to read and understand financial statements and assist with budget preparation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience with CINC is a plus.Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.Must be able to successfully pass a background check.Why William Douglas Management?At William Douglas Management, you’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and supporting thriving communities.
