This is a Part Time, Hourly position on site in Downtown Detroit

Bamboo is one of the region’s largest independent coworking communities. Our mission is to build Michigan’s startup and small business ecosystem. We do this by providing flexible space, inspiring events, and supportive community. We are seeking a part time Community Associate at our Downtown Detroit location.

Community Associate Success

In this position, you’ll work directly with our Community Director to provide daily operations and member support creating an excellent experience. This role is a part time position (estimated 20-30 hours weekly) working on site at Bamboo’s Downtown Detroit location conducting the following:

  • Workspace Operations. Ensure that all workspace areas are organized, stocked, and staged throughout the day. Manage or support stocking and ordering within budget. Conduct community support tasks such as coffee and mail management. Proactively report or solve workspace facilities improvements.
  • Community Support. Support our community by serving as our front desk community team, welcoming in our members and greeting guests, answering questions, giving tours. Ensure that all community requests are handled with an eye for service, detail, and timeliness. At times this can include membership sign-ups.
  • Community Coordination . Build relationships with our members and encourage them how to best utilize our space and membership perks, connecting them with resources and members within our community.
  • Community Events. Working collaboratively with the team, creating and executing regular monthly events that engage our members, welcoming in new guests, and creating a joyful experience at Bamboo.
  • Project Management. Those who excel in this role are excellent project/task managers who can stay organized throughout a very busy day, multitasking between facilities, member support, and hosting gatherings.
  • Communications & Reporting. Report to the Community Director providing transparency around issues and ideas for improvement. Conduct regular accounts receivable reports for the director each month.
