JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Community Assistant (CA) supports the property management team in achieving occupancy and retention goals through administrative tasks related to leasing, marketing, and customer service at the community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform administrative tasks in the leasing office, including copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and collateral materials.
  2. Assist with sales and leasing activities to meet revenue and occupancy goals by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, and showing apartments.
  3. Help prepare lease paperwork and organize resident lease files.
  4. Support move-in and move-out processes, understanding these are mandatory work dates; any time off during these periods requires prior written approval from the Community Manager.
  5. Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for property tours.
  6. Engage in on-campus marketing outreach to increase community awareness and attract qualified traffic.
  7. Coordinate resident events and programs to enhance resident satisfaction, including parties, birthday cards, unit visits, etc.
  8. Schedule and conduct resident visits, distribute notices, flyers, newsletters, surveys, and late notices.
  9. Serve as an after-hours liaison, responding promptly to emergencies during scheduled on-call shifts, which are at least once per week.
  10. Respond courteously and promptly to resident concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  11. Be available to work at least 10 hours per week.
  12. Must be enrolled at a local university and maintain good academic standing.
  13. Reside onsite unless an exception is approved by senior management.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION

Compensation varies based on experience, location, and business needs. Eligible employees may participate in quarterly or annual bonus programs, with onsite roles potentially participating in weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonuses.
