The Community Assistant is a multifaceted position. Community Assistants will assist with day-to-day operations, leasing, and maintaining facilities. They will provide scheduled educational programs to foster an inclusive, living-learning environment for residents. Community Assistants play a vital role in maintaining communities that create lifelong memories and uplift lives. They will work to support residents in reaching their academic and personal goals, leveraging local, communal, and university resources. Their mission is to establish, maintain, and promote an inclusive environment where residents can thrive.

Responsibilities
  1. Support residents in achieving their personal and educational goals.
  2. Lease and market apartments.
  3. Collaborate with management to create and sustain a resident community conducive to living-learning, including maintaining student success programming and planning budget-friendly events.
  4. Assist with move-in and move-out procedures, including administrative, operational, and maintenance tasks.
  5. Assist with basic maintenance tasks and respond to after-hours lockouts if required.
  6. Participate in preventative maintenance as directed by management.
  7. Maintain all documentation within property management software and report issues to the Resident Director or Community Manager.
  8. Build positive peer relationships with residents and foster a community environment.
  9. Maintain confidentiality between employees and residents.
  10. Assist with managing social media and documenting community programs.
  11. Coordinate with the RD to keep accurate records of residents' student status.
  12. Support move-out procedures and preparations.
Qualifications

Required Experience:

Strong leadership and social skills to foster an inclusive environment for students; knowledge of university functions and community activities.

Required Education/Training:

Enrolled in a university or college program for at least one year.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service and resident relations skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Salary Range and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $10.00 per hour, with individual pay determined by location, skills, experience, and education. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, generous paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company match, and additional perks.
