Guilford County Government seeks a professional to develop, implement, and sustain the Family Connects program within the Public Health Department. You will build coalitions, coordinate services, and promote community partnerships to support families with newborns.
The role requires independent planning, strong communication, and the ability to drive program activities from design to implementation, with collaboration across civic and health partners.
Performs professional and consultative work in developing, implementing, and sustaining the Family Connects program in the Public Health Department.
Employees in this class manage, coordinate, and promote the development of community resources in partnership with both public and private agencies within the community. Work includes designing and implementing Family Connects marketing plans for the community. Employees are responsible for establishing, maintaining, and/or participating in effective coalitions and partnerships among civic, community and health and human services partners to plan programs, services, and supports designed to meet the needs of families with newborn children. The position requires independence in planning work, establishing schedules, and making program-related decisions. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Community Health Consultant.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the human services area or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the human services area. Two or more years of demonstrated experience leading and participating in community initiatives for public health programming and/or project management.
This position will be out in the community and promoting the FCG program (meetings, health fairs, going to community & provider partner offices)
This position requires driving, whether driving a County owned or personal vehicle, to conduct county business. Driving includes, but is not limited to attending conferences, meetings, or any other country-related functions. Motor Vehicle Reports may be verified for valid driver’s license and that the driving record is compatible with the county’s driving criteria. If a personal vehicle is operated for county business proper insurance is maintained as per Guilford County’s vehicle use policy.
