Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Risk Reduction Manager to lead a regional partner network and field operations in the Austin area. The role focuses on disaster resilience, housing stability, and food security, coordinating across departments and external partners.

You will manage grants, build volunteer and staff teams, and ensure program objectives are met while supporting climate adaptation initiatives and community outreach across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in social services, community organizing, or equivalent.
• 3 years of supervisory/management experience; volunteer workforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and grow the Community Adaptation partner network and workforce.
• Identify vulnerable populations and resilience needs across health, food security, and housing.
• Integrate partnerships into planning, readiness, response, and recovery activities.
• Lead grant management with data reporting and compliance.
• Develop and manage internal/external communications strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet program objectives and support disaster relief efforts.
