Job summary

BRC is seeking a security guard to monitor access, issue client IDs, and oversee site safety. The role includes responding to emergencies, guiding visitors to services, and maintaining calm during crises. Strong communication and licensing are required, with bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with MICA/homeless population preferred.
• Basic computer literacy required; strong oral and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the building entrance.
• Create client identification cards.
• Monitor site activity via the digital camera system.
• Provide emergency response and crisis intervention as needed.
• Meet and greet individuals and direct them to the appropriate services.
• Assist clients in accessing necessary services.
• De-escalate situations and coordinate with emergency responders.
