Job summary

Global Channel Managementinc seeks a Communications Technician II in Chicago to troubleshoot and resolve issues across voice communications infrastructure, including voice gateways, carrier circuits, and DMARCs.

The role requires at least three years of hands-on experience; familiarity with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity, and Cisco UCCX is preferred, along with an electronics-related associate degree.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience troubleshooting voice communications infrastructure (voice gateways, carrier circuits, DMARCs).
• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity to troubleshoot/service issues preferred.
• Experience with Cisco UCCX-related technologies (call center), including Finesse for troubleshooting agent issues preferred.
• Associates degree in electronics or related field or technical school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Makes decisions outside of established procedures affecting the system’s operation, if needed.
• Monitors, diagnoses and repairs communications networks, equipment, and software per procedures.
• Diagnoses carrier-related problems (digital/analog circuits), reports status and required repairs, and opens tickets with carriers.
• Assists carriers with access to closets and equipment.
• Installs communications equipment to board level or per instruction.
• Responds to customer questions regarding features and functions of the system.
• Enters incident and request tickets in ServiceNow and documents tickets for accurate history.
