Job summary

SAIC seeks a Communications Systems Engineer to act as a Designated Authorizing Official Representative for an SAIC Prime Program at the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, VA. The role involves onsite SE and SETA support for satellite communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.

Responsibilities include aiding the SPO in acquisition planning, risk management, RMF/security activities, and producing briefings for government and industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD or JD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Support the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Coordinate and conduct day-to-day risk management activities. Support security authorization activities for information systems. Help accelerate PCRs, ATOs, and RMF actions.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
• Support Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation
• Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR
• Travel is required and may occur once a month.

SAIC is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer to act as a Designated Authorizing Official Representative to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of an SAIC Prime Program at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. The Communications Systems Engineer will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development. They will support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs. The job requires familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
• Familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.
• Must understand and work within how space communication, network, and crypto systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information security policies and standards
• Available to travel domestically
