Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a Communications Specialist to plan, design, and implement print and digital communications for internal and external audiences. You will collaborate with a creative team to uphold the Institute's mission and standards while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) plus related experience as applicable.
  • Experience in university or healthcare communications is a plus.

Communications Specialist
Job Summary

Plans, designs, creates, and implements a wide range of print anddigital communications for internal and external audiences. Usesgood judgment and strong interpersonal skills to manage projects aswell as plan and meet communications strategies, objectives, anddeadlines. Works with a collaborative, creative team to bestrepresent Huntsman Cancer Institute to patients, staff, and thepublic. Follows University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Institute, anddepartmental guidelines and standards to ensure quality andconsistency.

Essential Functions
  • Develops and implements communication materials for print,electronic, and web distribution
  • Develops and communicates department information on variousprojects to its stakeholders, both internal and external

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), photography, videography, andgraphic design.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and an understanding of digitalengagement strategies are highly valued.
