Job description

Trinity seeks a creative, energetic and skilled communications professional to help tell the story of our school through engaging digital content. Qualified candidates should bring creativity, strong organizational skills, digital fluency and a collaborative spirit to the role, with particular strengths in social media, short-form video, visual storytelling and content creation.

Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing and working in conjunction with the school’s development, alumni, admission, athletics, arts, academic, summer and student life programs, the ideal candidate will enjoy being immersed in the daily life of the school, building relationships with students and adults, identifying compelling stories and capturing authentic moments that showcase the Trinity experience.

This is a hands‑on communications role for a professional who is excited to create, learn and grow while helping advance Trinity’s mission and strengthen the school’s digital presence.

The successful candidate will:
  • Tell the story of the Trinity mission by creating balanced, timely, compelling and authentic content for parents, alumni, prospective families and the community at large across multiple digital platforms.
  • Create and curate daily and weekly content for the school’s social media presence, collaborating with students, teachers, coaches and program leaders to share an authentic view of the Trinity experience.
  • Conceptualize, capture, edit and distribute original short‑form, social‑first video content, including Reels and other vertical video formats.
  • Document Trinity’s mission in action through photo and video, regularly attending classes, activities, athletic contests, performances, school traditions and community events.
  • Create polished digital graphics and other visual content using Canva and established Trinity templates and brand standards.
  • Coordinate and collect content for regular school email newsletters, working with departments and program areas to ensure information is accurate, timely and engaging.
  • Assist with writing, editing, proofreading, formatting and distributing electronic communications.
  • Maintain a consistent content calendar and help identify upcoming opportunities for storytelling across campus.
  • Update and maintain content on the school’s website, www.trinityes.org, with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, readability and search‑and‑answer‑engine optimization.
  • Coordinate with other departments and program areas, including Development, Admissions, Athletics, Arts, Summer Programs and the IB Diploma Programme, to gather and develop content.
  • Support brand consistency across school‑affiliated and “Tier 2” communication channels, including department, team, club and program social media accounts.
  • Serve as a resource for faculty, staff, coaches and program leaders using Trinity’s brand assets and communications tools.
  • Help ensure that the school’s well‑established brand is expressed consistently and with high quality and alignment with the school’s style and visual identity guides.
  • Maintain an organized library of current photo, video and digital assets.
  • Assist the Director of Communications and Marketing with other communications projects and priorities as needed.
Skills and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media or a related field is preferred, as is experience in nonprofits, schools or educational settings. Excellent written, visual and digital communication skills are important for the position. The candidate should be enthusiastic, outgoing, curious and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail and consistent follow‑through.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have:

  • One to three years of related professional, internship or substantial collegiate experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience with social media, video, photography, graphic design or other digital content.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging content for social media and an understanding of current social media platforms, trends and best practices.
  • Experience capturing and editing short‑form video content.
  • Strong visual instincts and an interest in photography and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency with Canva or similar visual design tools.
  • Ability to write, edit and proofread clear and engaging content for a variety of digital channels.
  • Comfort and interest in interacting with multiple constituents — including students, teachers, administrators, alumni and parents — to identify and develop stories that build community.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management skills, including the ability to gather content from multiple contributors and meet recurring publication deadlines.
  • An understanding of brand consistency and the ability to work within established style and visual identity guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, website content management systems, email marketing platforms or social media analytics is a plus.
  • A willingness to learn new platforms, tools and approaches as digital communications continue to evolve.
