Responsibilities

  • Manage and create content for social media channels and the studio website, ensuring high-quality, consistent messaging.
  • Maintain marketing and portfolio files. Collaborate with photographers and videographers for portfolio, thought leadership, and marketing content.
  • Support external PR consultant, assist senior leadership with speaking engagements, and coordinate internal event communications.

About the Role

COOKFOX Architects is seeking a creative, curious, and collaborative Communications Manager to join our team. Working closely with our Director of Communications & Strategy, you will support the studio’s business development, outreach, and storytelling.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design innovation, environmental stewardship, and social equity. This candidate brings fluency and a critical lens to these values and is able to translate them into compelling written and visual media. This is an ideal role for an articulate and passionate person who is exceptionally detail oriented, a strategic thinker, and has a desire to grow their voice within an industry-leading sustainable design practice.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Writing: Draft, edit, and refine proposals, newsletters, project narratives, award submissions, website copy, and research content

Digital & Social Media: Manage and create content for social media channels and the studio website, ensuring high-quality, consistent messaging.

Media & Asset Management: Maintain marketing and portfolio files. Collaborate with photographers and videographers for portfolio, thought leadership, and marketing content.

Public Relations & Events: Support our external PR consultant, assist senior leadership with speaking engagements, and coordinate internal event communications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premiere, Illustrator)

Work Structure & Schedule

Schedule: Full time. In-studio presence required Monday–Thursday, with Friday as a flex/hybrid day.

Events: Attendance at evening NYC-based events and programs.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience and skill level).
