Job summary

American Public Life Insurance Company seeks a Communications Analyst in Oklahoma City. This hybrid role coordinates internal and external communications and Colleague relations to boost visibility of the company’s culture, products, services and goals.

You will lead Employer of Choice initiatives, plan community events, sponsorships, and recognition activities, and support media, website, email and SMS communications while working with marketing, HR and leadership to ensure consistent messaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.
• 3-5 years experience; 3 years need to be job-specific.
• Strong written and interpretive communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software including Excel, Word and MS Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to learn industry-specific software.
• Creative and effective writing for various media.
• Knowledge of website, email and SMS creation/management software.
• Knowledge of media protocols.
• Willingness to travel and work extended/flexible hours.
• Basic data analytics knowledge.
• Flexible to meet Colleague or Customer’s daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in coordinating internal and external communications and Colleague Relations efforts to improve AF’s visibility and understanding of the Company’s culture, products, services and goals.
• Lead or serve on Employer of Choice Initiative teams, including planning and implementing Company and community events and sponsorships such as annual meetings and volunteer activities.
• Support communications for community and customer engagement and ensure messaging aligns with Company goals.
