Job summary

The New School seeks a Communications Assistant to support MA, Media Studies outreach, design elements for MediaLog, and social media. You will coordinate news item solicitation, copy edit, and maintain a template for deployment by the AMT operations team.

Responsibilities include designing visuals, editing events, and keeping the newsletter archives organized, with hybrid on-campus and remote work. $20.00/hr, part-time student position.

Qualifications

• Current student in good standing at The New School with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must not have more than 33% of attempted course credits as incomplete.
• Solid organizational, writing and design skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calendar for regular monthly MediaLog newsletter publication.
• Be point person for student-related news and events.
• Maintain contact with student organizations and solicit updates.
• Collaborate with program director on submission form for newsletters.
