Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field or an eligible credentialing path with related industry experience.
• Minimum of one-year full-time teaching experience, or the equivalent as an adjunct instructor.
• Higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties of the position.
• Special skills include pedagogy knowledge, two years teaching experience; strong computer/tech skills, organizational abilities, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned by the designated supervisor.
• Prepare lesson plans for each course in line with approved objectives.
• Develop and submit course outlines and syllabi to the supervisor.
• Develop measurable course objectives and plans.
• Maintain a professional relationship with students and staff to foster communication.
• Keep accurate course records and complete required forms.
• Be available for student consultation.
• Assist in recruitment of students when appropriate.
• Assist in curriculum evaluation and instructional performance when appropriate.
• Represent the college professionally in the community and campus district.
• Engage in professional development as required for credentialing.
