Palmer & Cay is seeking a Communications & Wellness Specialist to support the development and delivery of employee benefits communications and wellness initiatives. Qualifications

  • Professional, service-oriented approach when supporting account teams and interacting with clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build employee-facing benefit communications using established templates, primarily in PowerPoint.
  • Update communication materials based on plan design details, benefit changes, carrier information, and direction provided by account teams.
  • Support the development and maintenance of benefit guides, open enrollment materials, compliance communications, wellness resources, presentations, flyers, and other client-facing deliverables.
  • Review content for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and alignment with client-specific benefit information.
  • Support account teams by helping organize, update, and prepare communication materials for client meetings, employee education campaigns, and benefit-related initiatives.
  • Revise materials based on feedback from account teams, clients, and internal reviewers.
  • Assist with quality control to ensure materials are polished, accurate, and ready for client or employee distribution.

The Communication & W ellness Specialist s upports the development and delivery of engaging, accurate, and client-focused employee benefits communications and wellness initiatives. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining communication materials using established templates and systems, coordinating wellness resources and vendors, and supporting account teams with client-facing projects.

Client & Employee Engagement
  • Work within multiple platforms used for compliance, communication distribution, content development, and project coordination.
  • Learn new systems quickly and work within those platforms independently with limited oversight once trained.
  • Serve as a resource to clients and account teams by identifying, evaluating, and coordinating wellness vendors for health fairs, onsite events, educational programs, and engagement initiatives, helping create meaningful opportunities that enhance employee well-being and support organizational wellness goals.
  • Support wellness initiatives by monitoring industry trends, emerging programs, and vendor offerings, helping identify innovative solutions that strengthen client engagement, wellness, and employee experience strategies.
Account Team Support
  • Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal team members to gather information, clarify details, and support project completion.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the employee benefits, insurance, HR, or related benefits communication field.

Preferred
  • Experience with employee benefits communications, open enrollment materials, compliance notices, or wellness communications is preferred.
  • Experience working within the insurance, employee benefits, HR, or professional services industry.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, employee events, wellness programs, or educational initiatives.
Work & Physical Environment

This position is a full-time remote/hybrid position. While we prefer candidates based in the Atlanta or Athens, Georgia areas to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration, we welcome applications from qualified candidates in other locations. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods, use a computer and other office equipment, communicate effectively in person and electronically, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift and carry light materials. Regular attendance and the ability to work effectively in a professional office environment are essential. The ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times may also be required. Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively and perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required.

Travel Requirements

This position may require occasional business travel, generally up to approximately 10% of the time. For employees who are primarily remote and located outside the Atlanta or Athens areas, travel requirements may increase to approximately 25% of the time based on business needs, client meetings, company events, and other work-related activities.
