Communication Specialist III - Digital Content Specialist
We're seeking a Digital Content Specialist (Communications Specialist III) for a major energy provider in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is a long-term, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract position based in Charlotte, NC.

This role is crucial in developing engaging digital content to support the organization’s communication objectives. As part of the innovation team, the Digital Content Specialist will help shape a smarter energy future by creating and managing multimedia content across digital platforms.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 5–8 years of experience in digital content creation, video production, or related fields
- Passion for storytelling and content strategy, with skills in video editing, presentation design, and brand messaging
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and project management tools like Jira
- Knowledge of content management systems, SEO, accessibility standards, and web design best practices
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in communications, marketing, and technical departments
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to visual and editorial details

Job Responsibilities
- Lead creation and management of digital content including videos, presentations, and multimedia assets aligned with organizational standards
- Partner with internal stakeholders to produce short-form videos, edit podcasts, develop engaging presentations, and deliver high-quality digital communications
- Perform video production, editing, motion graphics, and storytelling design
- Maintain and optimize content workflows and design processes to enhance communication impact and user experience
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Background in communications, design, marketing, or media production
- Experience with tools like Sitecore, SharePoint 365, Google Analytics, and content governance systems is preferred
Additional Requirements
- Include a resume and portfolio/work samples (videos, storyboards, presentations, etc.) with your application
- Location: Charlotte, NC, with hybrid work at least 3 days/week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, plus one other day)
- Pay rate: $41.55 - $42.99 per hour
