This is a long-term, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Charlotte, NC.
This role plays a vital part in developing compelling digital content to support a leading energy organization's communication goals. As part of the innovation team, the Digital Content Specialist will contribute to shaping a smarter energy future by creating and managing engaging multimedia content across digital platforms.
5-8 years of experience in digital content creation, video production, or related field
Passion for storytelling and content strategy with a strong foundation in video editing, presentation design, and brand messaging
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and project management tools like Jira
Familiar with content management systems, SEO, accessibility standards, and web design best practices
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across communications, marketing, and technical teams
Able to work independently and manage multiple content development projects simultaneously
Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and dynamic workflows
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to visual and editorial detail
Demonstrates a creative, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to brand alignment and quality output
In this role, you will lead the creation and management of digital content including video, presentations, and other multimedia assets that align with organizational standards.
You'll partner with internal stakeholders to produce short-form videos, edit podcasts, develop engaging presentations, and deliver high-quality digital communications. This includes video production and editing, motion graphics, and storytelling design.
You will also help maintain and optimize internal content workflows and design processes, supporting the team's overall communication impact and user experience.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Background in communications, design, marketing, or media production
Experience with tools such as Sitecore, SharePoint 365, Google Analytics, and content governance systems preferred

This opportunity is located in Charlotte, NC, and requires hybrid work at least 3 days per week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, plus one other day)
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $41.55 - $42.99 per hour
This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
