At The Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD), we provide transformative, person-centered education and services for deaf and/or disabled individuals in a language-rich, inclusive setting. We envision a world where Deaf and disabled individuals, their families, and communities thrive with dignity, purpose, and joy.
We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and highly organized Communications Coordinator to help tell our story, strengthen community engagement, and advance our mission through strategic communications, marketing, fundraising support, and digital engagement.
Working in partnership with the Director of Advancement and Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator develops and implements communication, marketing, and community engagement strategies that strengthen CCCBSD's visibility, support fundraising efforts, and connect with families, donors, alumni, community partners, and the broader public.
As the organization’s primary communications professional, you'll partner across departments to create compelling, accessible, and culturally responsive communications that showcase the impact of our students, programs, and mission.
No two days are exactly alike. One day you may be photographing a student event, the next creating communications for a fundraising campaign, updating the website, supporting an alumni gathering, or collaborating with school leaders to share the incredible work happening across our campus.
Schedule: This position generally follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities for fundraising events, school activities, conferences, and community engagement. CCCBSD values work-life balance and is open to discussing scheduling options, including a school-year schedule with additional workdays or a comparable year-round schedule based on organizational needs and the successful candidate.
Experience creating accessible digital content, including captions, alt text, accessible documents, and inclusive digital design practices, is highly valued.

This position is based on-site and includes regular interaction with students, families, staff, donors, and community members. Responsibilities include attending school and fundraising events, capturing photography and video, moving throughout campus, and representing CCCBSD at conferences and community activities.
The successful candidate should be able to lift and transport up to 40 pounds of event materials and equipment and work occasional evenings and weekends in support of fundraising events, community engagement, and organizational initiatives.
Participation in emergency preparedness drills, including fire drills, lockdowns, and evacuation procedures, is required. CCCBSD provides reasonable accommodations to ensure accessibility and success in the role.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks, including Massachusetts CORI and SAFIS fingerprinting, in accordance with state regulations.
