Archdiocese of Saint Paul Minneapolis seeks a warm, creative Communications and Engagement Coordinator to share the life of our faith community with clarity and care. This 30-hour-week role (Tuesday–Friday) keeps parishioners informed, connected, and encouraged to participate in parish life.

The coordinator oversees parish communications across print and digital platforms, collaborating with the pastor, staff, and ministry leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience with parish or nonprofit communications is a plus.
• Experience with print and digital communications best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple communications channels and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the weekly parish bulletin
• Update and maintain the parish website
• Create flyers, brochures, posters, and other materials
• Draft letters and announcements for ministry groups
• Support communications for events, liturgical seasons, and sacraments
• Coordinate content with staff and leaders to meet deadlines
• Proofread materials for clarity and consistency
• Maintain parishioner contact list/database
• Manage the parish event and activity calendar

Our parish seeks a warm, creative, and organized Communication and Engagement Coordinator to share the life of our faith community with clarity and care. This 30-hour-per-week (Tuesday-Friday) position plays an important role in keeping parishioners informed, connected, and encouraged to participate in parish life. The coordinator will oversee parish communications across print and digital platforms, including the weekly bulletin, website, flyers, brochures, posters, and parish correspondence to different groups within the community. This person will work closely with the pastor, parish staff, and ministry leaders to ensure timely, accurate, and welcoming communication that reflects our Catholic parish's mission and spirit.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing the weekly parish bulletin
• Updating and maintaining the parish website
• Supporting efforts that encourage parish engagement and participation by creating flyers, brochures, posters, printed materials, and social media platforms
• Drafting letters and announcements for ministry groups
• Assisting with communication for parish events, liturgical seasons, and sacramental preparation
• Coordinating with parish staff and ministry leaders to gather content and meet deadlines
• Proofreading and editing materials for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Maintain parishioner contact list/database
• Manage parish event and activity calendar

Preferred experience:

• Proficiency with desktop publishing, graphic design, email communication tools, and contact management database
• Previous experience in parish, nonprofit, or faith-based communications a plus

Reports to the Parish Administrator.
