Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Common Criteria Security Engineer for a leading cybersecurity and technology organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The role is remote with EST hours and focuses on certification for European clients.

You will lead certification projects, coordinate with labs and customers, and develop security documentation to support certification readiness and ongoing compliance across international markets.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, security engineering, or compliance-focused roles.
• Hands-on experience with Common Criteria, NIAP, FIPS 140-3, or comparable security certification frameworks.
• Understanding of secure development practices, risk management, and security controls.
• Experience creating technical documentation and working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and project management skills supporting international customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Common Criteria certification projects, including planning, testing support, evidence collection, and certification submissions.

The Common Criteria Security Engineer role is a remote position working EST hours. The Common Criteria Security Engineer will lead and support security certification efforts for products and solutions serving European clients, with a focus on Common Criteria, regulatory compliance, and security assurance activities. An ideal candidate for the Common Criteria Security Engineer role is an experienced cybersecurity professional with expertise in certification frameworks, technical documentation, and secure product development.

Compensation for the Common Criteria Security Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $110,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
