Job summary

Nucor Corporation, through DJJ, is seeking a Commodity Markets Analyst Intern for the summer in Cincinnati, OH. You will join the Brokerage Division, supporting a fast-paced team focused on metals trading and market analysis.

The internship runs 8-9 weeks with a 40-hour workweek and housing resources available to interns. Gain exposure to forecasting, data analysis, and macro trends while networking with leaders across the company.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student majoring in economics, statistics, or business analytics.
• Possess excellent analytical thinking skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge and use of Project R
• Some experience with Microsoft Power BI

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced analysts to better understand commodity markets and their interaction with macroeconomic trends and data
• Work on assigned projects that can include price or volume forecasting, or basic statistical analysis
• Participate in group meetings tasks as assigned
