Job summary

DJJ, a division of Nucor Corporation, seeks a Trader to sit at the center of the raw material supply chain—buy scrap and alloys worldwide, broker those materials to customers, and develop a real book of business. After an 8–10 week paid training, you will be placed in a district office and, based on business needs, relocated.

You must be willing to relocate post-training. This posting covers all four brokerages; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and sponsorship is not

• Self-starter who thrives working both independently and on a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field/discipline.

Responsibilities

• Buy and sell ferrous, nonferrous metals and/or ferroalloys to drive Nucor's raw material advantage.
• Prospect and develop new supplier and mill relationships.
• Manage contracts, payment terms, and supply chain logistics with customers.
• Collaborate daily with logistics teams, Nucor mill contacts, and open-market accounts.
• Travel to supplier and customer sites (30–60% of time).
• Relocate to any district office at the close of training — and again as you advance.

The Opportunity:

As a Trader, you'll sit at the center of Nucor's raw material supply chain — buying scrap and alloys from suppliers worldwide, then brokering those raw materials to customers. You'll build a real book of business, trade commodities, and develop lasting supplier and customer relationships. After an 8–10 week paid training program, you'll be placed in one of our district offices and a brokerage based on our business needs and your strengths. You MUST be willing to relocate anywhere we do business post training - strictly based on business need, no preferences. (See states/locations above)

DJJ offers one of the best total compensation packages in the industry:

• Base salary of $77,000.00 + ROA bonus up to 33.9% of annual pay
