Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor-Level 3 for a 1-year contract assignment in the United States. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commissioning projects, including budget and schedule oversight.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead technical validation and operational readiness assessments.
• Act as subject matter expert in commissioning and startup processes.
• Oversee turnover walkdowns and verification/testing to deliver a quality, tested handover.

Job description

We are searching for a Commissioning Supervisor-Level 3 on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will direct the planning, execution, and testing of new construction power plant commissioning within defined budgets, schedules, and environmental targets.

Directly interacts with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, OEM equipment suppliers, off-taker Utilities, regional transmission system operators, Plant Operations, and staff organizations to develop a fully integrated commissioning plan and to manage issues as they arise.

You would need to have a strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning.

1-year contract assignment. (W-2)

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commissioning projects, including budget and schedule oversight.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead technical validation and operational readiness assessments.
• Act as subject matter expert in commissioning and startup processes.
• Through system turnover walkdowns and execution of the verification and Validation checks, assures a quality product meeting the project's performance objectives is accepted from the construction contractor(s) in the required sequence, tested, and turned over to the Operations Department.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant Experience: 11 - 15 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69.00/hr. to $74.00/hr.
