Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions in Tampa, FL is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join our team. You will work on all sizes of projects, learning from experienced PMs and Commissioning Agents while advancing from design review to functional testing.

The role offers growth through TLC’s defined career path and training at all levels, with opportunities to travel and manage commissioning tasks independently on smaller projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in MEP design / construction administration, commissioning, building operations, test and balance technician, DDC controls technician, or related industry experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Computer hardware/software/network expertise as appropriate.
• Ability to execute building commissioning and retro-commissioning tasks.
• Commissioning Certification preferred (ACG CxT or CxA, or equivalent).
• Ability and willingness to travel (more than 50%).
• Knowledge in building automation and controls systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, lighting, emergency power, low voltage systems, renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning on projects of various sizes, with guidance on complex projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Commissioning Agents through design review to functional testing.
• Learn and grow through TLC’s defined career path and training program on all levels.

The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for all sizes and types of projects, with the opportunity to work independently on smaller projects and the guidance and mentorship of experienced Project Managers and Commissioning Agents for more complex projects. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your experience from design review to functional testing. TLC provides a defined career path and training at all levels.

Qualifications You’ll Need
