TLC Engineering Solutions in Nashville, TN is seeking a Commissioning Specialist with 5+ years of MEP design and commissioning experience to join our team. This full-time role offers growth through mentoring and exposure to diverse projects across the built environment.

You will lead commissioning tasks, review designs, and perform functional testing, with strong collaboration with Project Managers. Travel >50% is expected; LEED accreditation is preferred and a relevant degree is desired.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in MEP design/construction administration, commissioning, building operations, test and balance, or related industry experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Computer hardware/software/network expertise, as appropriate.
• Ability to execute building commissioning and retro-commissioning tasks.
• Commissioning Certification preferred (ACG CxT or CxA, or equivalent).
• Ability and willingness to travel (more than 50%).
• Knowledge in a majority of the following: Building Automation and controls systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire alarm/life safety, Lighting and lighting controls, Emergency power, Low voltage, Renewable energy.

The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for all sizes and types of projects, with the opportunity to work independently on smaller projects and the guidance and mentorship of experienced Project Managers and Commissioning Agents for more complex projects. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your experience from design review to functional testing. TLC provides a defined career path and training at all levels.
